Prayers are Answered, Ask Baylee!!
I had to write about a sweet experience that Baylee has had this past month. About a month ago Baylee decided to start praying to Heavenly Father to help her get her back hand spring. She has been working on this particular skill at tumbling for about 9 months or so and has had no luck mastering this skill. She was very determined to have her prayers answered. The first day at tumbling after starting her prayers she came out of class and was all upset and said to me that Heavenly Father didn't answer her prayer and she was so disappointed. I explained to her that he can't always answer our prayers when we want him too and that we have to have Faith and keep praying. So she did every night and about a week or two after she mastered her standing back hand spring and then two weeks later she got her round off back hand spring! She was so excited and it brought me so much joy when she told me that she knew Heavenly Father had answered her prayers. I'm so proud of her and her faith in saying her prayers, we recognized her on Sunday during our family home evening and told the kids about her goal of saying her prayers and how proud we were of her for setting such a great example for our family. She is now addicted to doing back hand springs and shows everyone who will stop and watch her. I also had told her months ago that when she got her back hand spring that she could have a new webkinz pet so the day she got it we went to the store and she picked out a webkinz pet that she sleeps with every night! I am so proud of you Baylee Boo and can't wait to see what you do next!!
Chill'n in Bear Lake
Last weekend we spent our time in a cabin at Bear Lake with my step mom and her family for a girls getaway. I took Brynlee with me and we had such a fun time. We went to a polar plunge where crazy people jumped into the frigid waters of bear lake to raise money for cancer. We also went sledding down a mountain in Logan Canyon, we went to the Chocolate Bear and ate some goodies, played games, ate yummy food, painted our nails, watched movies and sat in the hot tub! I really enjoyed my time away with my sweet Brynlee and I hope she had a great time with me too!!

Snow Time
Baylee loves to play in the snow! Here she is having a great time, Warren and I were in the house watching her out the window and she was so hilarious because she would stop playing and pull a quick pose. I just love her sweet face all bundled up in her snow gear!

A Great Run!!
A lot is changeing with the new year and the first change for me was: I was released from my calling as Primary President after four years and two months on Sunday. Before that happened I gave my last sharing time, introducing the primary theme for the year: I am a Child of God. I was so emotional, I started with an activity where I held a mirror in a picture frame and hid the mirror so they could only see the back of the frame. I told the children that I had a picture of someone that is so special and that Heavenly Father and Jesus love so very much. I had each of the children come up one by one and look into the mirror and sit down. It was so moving to watch each child come up and peek around the frame and see there reflection staring back at them. As I watched each child do this, they all beamed from ear to ear after seeing who the picture was of. I imagined what it must be like to be our Heavenly Father and have so much love for each of us. I was so emotional I couldn't even talk after they were all finished coming up. This lesson hit me hard because I knew how special my time was with them and I had a part of me that didn't want to leave the primary after many many years of being in that room with so many sweet spirits!
As I was being released I had a sad sad feeling come over me and the tears began to flow. I have never cried after being released from a calling, usually it's a great relief. As I looked around the room my presidency had the same reaction that I did. The hardest part was when Brynlee and Baylee asked why I was crying and found out that I wouldn't be in primary with them any more. They were both devastated and that made me only cry even more. There were many great Testimonies born that day and many were about what a great job we did as a primary. I also had many people come up to me and Thank me for my service. It was such a bitter sweet day. Change is good and I am so excited for the new primary president my dear friend Lisa Bitter. She is so excited and has so much love to give. It was great to serve with my friends; Tina Ottley, Lisa Shick, and Sarah Schaugaard. They are all great women who I look up to greatly! I am so grateful for my amazing family who showed up to church with me every Sunday a half hour early so I could set up for primary. I had many meetings, Baptisms, pack meetings, and time away from them to serve and my husband was a real trooper. I couldn't have done it without their support. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for primary, there is no other place like it!!
