Happy Hunting!!

October 4th my handsome hairy husband turned 38! I say hairy because he was growing his beard for a couple weeks to prepare himself for the elk hunt. Warren had been planning this trip for months and has been so excited to hunt for the first time up at the cabin. Warren took my dad and brother Travis and also his friend Russ and his uncle Richard with him. Warren stayed the longest, leaving on his birthday Friday night and came home nine days later on a Sunday afternoon. They were all unsuccessful at taking down an elk but had a great time other wise. This is definitely Warren's kind of birthday treat to be out hunting in the great outdoors. I sometimes wonder if it was meant to be for Warren to have his birthday during hunting season.
It's hard having him gone and I usually get real onry right before he leaves but I know how hard he works all year long. I just have to remind myself how much he really deserves this time away doing something that he loves. I have yet to meet another man who comes close to the kind of man that I have married! Warren is so giving and has such a sweet heart for others. I have learned to be more compassionate because of his example. Being married to my best friend is truly special. I love our goofy, playful times together and even when he gets on my last nerve I can't help but melt for him. Nine days was a long time away from him but the reunion we had was AMAZING!! ( Sorry kids we are still in love ) Happy Birthday Warny!!

First Lost Tooth

October 4th Baylee lost her first tooth! She was so excited, it had been loose for two months and all her school friends were loosing their teeth but this stubborn, little tooth didn't want to come out. We even noticed the last few days before it came out that it was turning purple. I told her it was probably dead ( I had no idea why ). She decided to let daddy pull it out before he left out of town for the elk hunt. It was quick and easy and Baylee couldn't wait for the tooth fairy to come that night. She was so thrilled to wake up the next morning with a one dollar bill under her pillow. The nice fairy even left the tooth for her to keep!
This was such a special moment for Baylee and all I could think about was I will never have one of my children lose a first tooth again. My children are growing up way too fast, it's a good thing and a scary thing all at the same time. I'm afraid to blink sometimes, they might all be adults if I do. :(

Free Haircuts

If you've been needing a haircut and can't get into your hairdresser no worries just call my six year old Baylee. A few weeks ago I was doing her hair and noticed a few short pieces in the front that were not there the last time I did her hair, I thought nothing of it until the next day when it just didn't seem right. How did she all of a sudden have some bangs? I confronted her about it and she immediately said, don't tell daddy; I guess daddy is what she feared not me. She then admitted to cutting her hair. I told her how long it is going to take to grow those pieces out now and that her hair was somewhat ruined. My thinking was that would scare her and she wouldn't do it again.
Now forward to this week, while the kids were all in school I was in Baylee's room picking up and noticed a long chunk of her hair behind her door, I couldn't believe it. I sat the chunk of hair aside to talk to her about it when she got home. Later that evening Carson came to me and said mom I think Baylee has been cutting her stuffed animals hair it is all over her floor. That then reminded me that I needed to talk to her about the chunk of hair. I went in her room with the chunk of hair and said look what I found on your floor today and held it in front of her hair and said, oh my goodness this matches your hair color could this be a chunk of your hair. She through her hands over her face and bowed her head. I said do you have a cutting problem I guess we have to hide the scissors from you. She brought me a nail kit that she got from her birthday that had little scissors in it and said she was sorry. What a little stinker, if she's coming to your house anytime soon:  HIDE YOUR SCISSORS!!

Happy 10th Birthday Brynlee

September 28th was Brynlee's 10th Birthday!! A week before her actual birthday we had a friend birthday party at the movies. Warren and I took Brynlee and fourteen screaming girls to the One Direction movie. We had such a great time and it was so great seeing Brynlee so happy with all of her friends.
Brynlee has really been through some rough times the past two years with some bullying issues that we have been slowly trying to figure out. I was so sad and disappointed to see it starting again this year. I have cried many tears and prayed that Brynlee would come out of this situation a stronger person. It's hard to see how mean girls are and I have come to the realization that we can't ever change the behavior of this other girl but I have tried really hard to teach Brynlee how to love others even when their actions are not Christ like. I never dreamt in my wildest dreams that my little girl would have to be facing this issue so young in her life. Right now things seem to be stable with this other girl so I pray that things will stay this way for the future.
Brynlee is so smart and talented and loves her teacher Mrs. Packard. Brynlee loves art, music, fashion, doing her hair, hanging out with friends, one direction, reading, and so much more. I am constantly being told how beautiful Brynlee is and I have to agree, she never takes a bad picture. I'm so blessed to have Brynlee as my daughter and love our mother daughter times together. Happy Birthday Bryn, we love you!!!
