The Rawson Bunch

Wow is all I can say! The Brady Bunch has nothing on the Rawson Clan. 11 years ago my dad who has five children married my step-mom who has five children and here we all are spouses, children & girlfriends! Back in May we had a family photo shoot in Tremonton, Utah. I think it was a great thing that we all could show up and create these memories. After it was all over we had a family picnic, thanks to Jana for setting this all up. Everyone looked amazing!! Families are Forever!

Elisa's Triathlon

Last week my sister did a triathlon in Herriman and she did so awesome! I was so glad that I got up early to go support her. It was a great day and after we all went to Village Inn to celebrate. Great Job Sis!

Wicked Night

August 9th my girlfriends and I went to see Wicked at Capitol Theater. It was so great, just as good as the New York production. We didn't  have seats together but that didn't matter to us, we were just excited to have a girls outing. We went to Cheesecake Factory before and ate some yummy grub. Love my girlfriends!

Our Beloved Grandma White

July 31, 2012 Grandma White passed away peacefully with her longtime friend by her side. We were so heartbroken but happy for the reunion that she is having with her husband and daughter. Grandma instantly welcomed me into her family and has always shown me unconditional love. Warren and I often took our kids to visit her and as time flew by our visits were sporadic but we always made sure to send or take her updated pictures of our children. The third picture is a funny one that we just love because grandma would always make her rounds around the room when she left to kiss and hug everyone. The picture is at Baylee's baby blessing and so we had some friends there too, and if you know grandma that wasn't about to stop her from kissing all of our friends too. Warren and his grandma were so very close. She even had a special name that she referred warren as" Her #1 Big Hunk", she signed all his cards this way and called him this every time she saw him. We had a very special visit with her two weeks before she passed, and at the time we had no idea this would be the last time we had with her on this earth. As she lie frail and out of it in her bed she called each of our children over to her bedside and hugged and kissed them and looked each of them in their eyes and told them how much she loved them. When we got there I grabbed her hand and stroked it tenderly and she wouldn't let go. I think she really needed that. It was such a special visit that we will always remember it. I cried the whole way home, the spirit was so strong! Her funeral was beautiful and I think I have never cried so much. Warren gave a very beautiful talk and broke down several times which only sent me into the ugly cry. The great grandchildren sang a song and also some of us adults and children sang another beautiful piece of music. She will always be remembered as the lovey, kissy, huggy grandma but much much more. She was such a sweet and giving woman, I'm so glad my children are old enough to remember her.
As hard as this time has been we had to go through her house while Aislinn was in town. It was such an honor to see all the many things that she has collected and loved over the years. Warren and I ended up with her grandfather clock , a set of her China, a kitchen aid, a lamp, blankets, a couple pieces of her jewelery and a couple little random things. We will definitely remember her every time we use these items. The last two pictures are of the kids and uncle Brandon trying on some of grandmas things.

24th of July at Camp Tracey

We yet again went with the extended White Family up to camp Tracey for a fun family sleepover. This year we brought the Schaugaards with us and my sister and her kids. We spent alot of the time at the pool and watched movies and played in the lake. We ate yummy treats and enjoyed our time with family and friends.

Bear Lake July 2012

What a great trip we took to Bear Lake the end of July with the Schaugaards and some of their family & friends. It was a short two day trip but we took advantage of every minute of those two days for sure! The best part for the kids was playing on the beach and tubeing behind the boat. Warren and Connor's ride behind the boat was very entertaining; they were flying through the air which led to Warren having a few good spills. We had a very interesting night at the house that we slept at. There are bats that live in the attic and guess who's room they decided to make an appearance in, yes mine and Warren's room and also the kids room. Warren took care of business though and found a broom to kill the bat with. It was a rough night but finally we got some sleep. The next day was a Sunday so we decided to take the kids to the cave but before we left a sister of a friend there went into a seizure and hit her head on the counter top and scared the crap out of all of us. We called 911 and Jake who is an EMT took good care of her till they got there. As soon as it happened we rushed all the kids outside so they wouldn't be scared by all the commotion and the ambulance once it got there. Before the ambulance got there they decided to hurry and give her a priesthood blessing. Once again in times like these I'm so grateful for the priesthood and the great men who hold it! Thankfully she is alright but it was quite the intense scene for awhile. Once we got everything situated we packed a lunch and headed up to the cave to find that it was a two hour wait to go inside. We knew it would put us traveling home to late so we left and found a spot on the way back to have a picnic instead. We made it home safe and a little burnt but the trip was so fun and worthwhile! We are so glad our friends invited us and that I could get primary all squared away so that we could go.

Arrow of Light Award

Such a proud mom I was at Carson's pack meeting in July. Carson crossed over to 11 year old scouts but before that happened he was awarded the highest award in cub scouts the Arrow of Light Award. He also earned his Weblos badge, all 20 activity badges, the World Conservation Award, the Leave no trace awareness award, and three compass points. Lets just say I worked my butt off to get this done for him. Connor got all these awards so I had to make sure Carson received them all too. Carson had great leaders and enjoyed his year with his troop. It was a very special night and it was great to have Warren's parents there to support him. The last picture is after the meeting when the sprinklers turned on and Baylee asked me if she could run through them, I told her no. Five minutes later we look over and she is running through the sprinklers soaking wet. That's our little stinker! Carson, I'm so proud of you and I love you so much, Good Job!!

Friends & Fun

A week before the 24th of July we went to the float exhibit at the Expo Center. We walked around the different floats and filled out a judging form for our favorite floats. They had games there, face painting, balloons, bands, dancing, food and fun. We stood in line most of the time but don't the kids look so cute with their face's painted!
