Stake Lagoon Day!!
We had yet another great day at Lagoon the end of July. It was a perfect day and we practically walked right on to all the rides. The only bummer was that Warren couldn't take off work because he already had a couple days off the week before for the white family weekend, so we decided it wasn't worth him driving up after work. I loved the time that I spent with my kids and seeing how happy they were to be there made it all worth it!
24th of July White Family Weekend
The 24th of July weekend was spent with the White extended family at the cabin. It was a first for a few of them and with the cabin all filled up we pulled up our fifth wheel to sleep in. We had a great time with everyone and the kids had a blast. We were minus one in our family, we let Connor spend the weekend with his best friend Jordan at their cabin. We missed him but he had his own fun with out us. We all took turns cooking a meal and all the men went to work on different projects around the cabin. The kids played there little hearts out and the last day after most everyone left we got out the kids guns and let them shoot. Warren spent most of the time fixing up the four wheelers but by the second to last day I talked him into relaxing. Brandon was the usual life of the party and the cousins harassed him nonstop. This was a great start to many more family trips to the cabin to come!

Girls Camp 2013
I was recently put in as Girls Camp Director in our ward and only had about three months to plan it. Thank goodness for my amazing assistant Bonnie Morris, she is nothing short of perfect! I have never been a good camper and hate bugs and dirt and if you ask my husband I am a pampered princess when we go camping. Warren handles every thing so I will go. So I was more than shocked when called to be the director but knew I could make it fun for the girls. I came up with a theme to add to the stake theme and so we went with Stand & Sparkle in Holy Places. I made lots of cute sparkle handouts and did my best to make camp a good experience. We had 15 girls go from our ward and had to put up with some rain but overall we had more fun then drama.
Trapped in a Lightening Storm!!
So on our last day at the cabin our friends took off early in the morning and we decided that we would take the kids on one last four wheeler ride before we headed home. The picture at the top is up the mountain a ways we stopped for Baylee to pee. If you notice in the background of the picture a slight rain cloud, well it wasn't so slight a hour later. We continued up the mountain to our favorite trail when it started to rain and boy did it come fast. Then the lightening started and it was coming right for us. We tried to head the opposite way which was further from our cabin because we were out of options. The second picture is of us all nestled in a grove of trees trying to bunker down during the rain and lightening storm. Let's just say it was beyond scary, miles and miles from the cabin and not sure how long the storm would last we decided to say a prayer with the kids. The girls were crying and I was beyond panicked. I think we sat for about a half hour when we saw a small opening in the storm and decided to bee line it down the mountain. It was still raining and with all that rain made lots and lots of MUD!!! On our way down we passed several trucks and trailers that were sliding off the mountain and one was even jack knifed. Warren decide to send me and Connor along with the girls back to safety and he stayed with Carson to pull the truck off the edge. I was never so glad to be back from a four wheeler ride as I was of this one. The last pics are of us and the bikes and the Mud! I know my kids will never forget this experience and I hope most of all that they learned that our prayer was answered that day, we made it back home safe.
4th of July @ the Cabin
The fourth of July was I think the best ever so far for us! We headed to the cabin on Tuesday evening and stayed til Sunday night. We brought our friends the Schaugaards with us and we had a wonderful time! Wednesday was the fourth of July so Sarah and I had planned a fun filled day in Richfield: watching the parade, stopping by the carnival for the fish pull, shopping, lunch & swimming at Sarah's sister-in-law Cara's dad's house, and finally fireworks! It was a long and hot day but the kids had a blast! The rest of the weekend we played hard, the kids as always enjoyed the four wheelers the most! The picture of Sarah and I was after a fun ride and we were covered in dirt. The last pic is of Carson's wound from tipping the four wheeler on a ride. Warren was chill as normal and I was freaking out wondering if we should take him to town for stitches. We cleaned it good everyday and it healed fine other than an indention in Carson's leg that I'm not sure will ever go away. I had been telling Warren every time we went to the cabin that I was worried that one of our kids would get hurt and sure enough it happened. I think it was a good lesson for all of us that no matter how careful we are being that accidents can happen. I'm so glad it wasn't worse than it was.
