Our Beloved Grandma White

July 31, 2012 Grandma White passed away peacefully with her longtime friend by her side. We were so heartbroken but happy for the reunion that she is having with her husband and daughter. Grandma instantly welcomed me into her family and has always shown me unconditional love. Warren and I often took our kids to visit her and as time flew by our visits were sporadic but we always made sure to send or take her updated pictures of our children. The third picture is a funny one that we just love because grandma would always make her rounds around the room when she left to kiss and hug everyone. The picture is at Baylee's baby blessing and so we had some friends there too, and if you know grandma that wasn't about to stop her from kissing all of our friends too. Warren and his grandma were so very close. She even had a special name that she referred warren as" Her #1 Big Hunk", she signed all his cards this way and called him this every time she saw him. We had a very special visit with her two weeks before she passed, and at the time we had no idea this would be the last time we had with her on this earth. As she lie frail and out of it in her bed she called each of our children over to her bedside and hugged and kissed them and looked each of them in their eyes and told them how much she loved them. When we got there I grabbed her hand and stroked it tenderly and she wouldn't let go. I think she really needed that. It was such a special visit that we will always remember it. I cried the whole way home, the spirit was so strong! Her funeral was beautiful and I think I have never cried so much. Warren gave a very beautiful talk and broke down several times which only sent me into the ugly cry. The great grandchildren sang a song and also some of us adults and children sang another beautiful piece of music. She will always be remembered as the lovey, kissy, huggy grandma but much much more. She was such a sweet and giving woman, I'm so glad my children are old enough to remember her.
As hard as this time has been we had to go through her house while Aislinn was in town. It was such an honor to see all the many things that she has collected and loved over the years. Warren and I ended up with her grandfather clock , a set of her China, a kitchen aid, a lamp, blankets, a couple pieces of her jewelery and a couple little random things. We will definitely remember her every time we use these items. The last two pictures are of the kids and uncle Brandon trying on some of grandmas things.
